APGW

APGW (Anti-Personnel Guided Weapon)
A tiny anti-personnel missiles designed to be used inside the twisting corridors of a starship. Highly specialised support weapon for the Starship Marines - the APGW provides much needed supporting firepower during the close-quarters battle. Optimised for use in zero-g and a hard vacuum, these are not used planetside.

HOW DO APGWS WORK?

APGW are not projectile weapons, they are missiles, and as such self-propelled. No recoil on launch (although there is probably a small 'push back' as exhaust gases hit the launcher just after launch).
It is a 'hittile' though - the difference being that it has a shaped charge (like HEAT or HESH) and doesn't rely on muzzle velocity for penetration/damage to an armoured target.
