Career

Walt qualified as a geologist on Potomax, the Esteeler Q7 Capital World. He ended up working for the Association of Free Traders’ colonial arm, scouting for red mercury sites, and worked a dozen colony start-ups with the company before setting himself up as a freelance consultant. Now in his 60s, he likes the wide open spaces and often spends a lot of time alone in the field, which has left him a little eccentric and not always good at dealing with other people. However, he is a practical, hands-on individual and has a good eye for red mercury deposits - a highly bankable skill.
