In 3207, the First Minister was Fiona McTavish and over the ensuing eight years led her colony to become one of the core founding members of the Federated Worlds of the Outer Quadrants (FWOQ)

Following a hotly contested referendum, in 3215, the colony gave up its independence and became a full member of the Federated Worlds of the Outer Quadrants.

As an early supporter of the election of Admiral Jackson as President, Fiona McTavish left local Killikrankian politics and was elected as Vice President of the Federation in 3216.
