Mald Inquisitors Department (MID)

An intelligence organisation operating out of the Maldenite Democratic Foundation (MDF)

The MDF do not admit to conducting either espionage or counter-espionage, maintaining the line that it is a primarily academic-based political entity. However, it is an open secret that one of their foremost arms for conducting both intelligence and counter-intelligence operations is the Mald Inquisitors Department.

Officially part of the Provosts' Office for conducting in-depth investigations into matters of defence, the MID has a reputation for exceptionally efficient counter-intelligence operations.

The general intelligence community regard the MID's activities as primarily defensive in nature, as the MDF as a whole show little interest in probing other polity's secrets.
