Outer Sectors

Background

Humanity's astrographic mapping system was originally based on the nine inhabited Quadrants of human space. As the centuries have passed, humanity is increasingly spreading to the limits of those Quadrants, and the previously uninhabited Outer Sectors have started to become relevant from the point of view of human colonisation.

Naming

The Outer Sectors consist of 16 areas labelled

Sector CF
Sector DF
Sector EF
Sector AG - Has some human colonies
Sector EG
Sector AH - Has some human colonies
Sector EH
Sector AI - Has some human colonies
Sector EI
Sector AJ
Sector BJ
Sector CJ
Sector DJ
Sector EJ - The location of the initial Roach advance colonies in the recent Roach War.
