Admiral Lesley Phillips
Earther Admiral (Retired)
Early Life
Born 3145 in Perth, Australia on Earth, Phillips came from an ancient farming family with no history of military service. Their brother served in the Deep Space Force, and it is believed Phillips chose to follow a Naval career to get away from farming where "...nothing ever happens...".
Early Career
Phillips joined the Imperial Navy in 3165 and quickly showed promise as a young junior officer, drawing attention in the Orbital 115 Incident, leading a naval boarding party to rescue trapped construction workers at considerable personal risk. Phillips' quick thinking and immediate action was commended highly by their superiors.

In the Exterminator War, Admiral Philips led the Earther fleet in several key battles including famously commanding Task Group 11 in First Battle of Doggie (3197) and destroying an Exterminator base at the Battle of Begin in 3199. The work of Phillips in updating strengthening and organising the defence of Sol in the post-Exterminator War period remains an exemplar to future staff officers.
Phillips ' final role was in coordinating anti-piracy activities in Quadrant 0, leading to a 31.6% reduction in reported piracy.
Retiring from the Imperial Navy in 3215 they are currently living on Dolha in Quadrant 7,
Admiral Phillips started their own consultancy company in 3216 (Outpost Consulting) providing training, decision support and analysis to assist organisations (including the Imperial Navy) in developing the command & control (C2) methodologies and design and development of wargames and command post exercises.
Memoirs
Their authorised memoirs of the campaign “Left Hand Down A Bit” were a best seller and are on the Imperial Naval Academy Staff Course required reading list. The book was made into a tri-vid in 3200; “Who Exterminates the Exterminator” which featured a cameo appearance by the then GFA presidential hopeful Alphie Potato.
