!TRUC **Transport Robot, Universal Carrier ** A type of support robot used by the [Starship Marines]. The TRUC is a small general purpose non-humanoid robot designed to carry ammunition and supply pallets and to recover casualties or other items to a safe place. Optimised to operate in zero-g and hard vacuum, these are not normally used planetside. !!General Description Following considerable combat experience with the old types of Ammunition Robot and Recovery Robot, the combat units have identified a requirement for a combined type that can perform the functions of both in one machine. This have now been developed in the TRUC. The basic robot brain units and gas-jet mobility system is fundamentally the same as the earlier types, slightly modified to reflect the new role. !!Employment: The TRUC can either carry one logistic pallet, or recover up to two casualties (but not both types of action simultaneously)
