Artificial People

Some of the more advanced Bright Slave Class robots (see Artificial Intelligence AI) in the Sirius Socialist Republic have been given citizenship and some rights. These robots will often express a preference to be called an 'Artificial Person' rather than merely a 'robot'.

Some have even 'objected' to the term Bright Slave, though these objections have not been widely recognised, as 'Artificial People' are not regarded by most polities to be sufficiently sentient to have legitimate objections.
