W26 is an uninhabited world in Quadrant 7, previously the site of several colonial attempts that ultimately failed. The planet, while initially thought to have promising resource potential, proved to be unsuitable for sustained human habitation due to a combination of harsh environmental conditions, logistical failures, and economic collapse.

Colonial History

Throughout the early 3200s, various investment groups and independent settlers attempted to establish a foothold on W26, attracted by reports of possible mineral wealth and arable land. However, the colony struggled with poor soil conditions, unpredictable climate patterns, and resource extraction difficulties. By 3215, the settlements had become increasingly reliant on off-world aid, and by 3218, internal disputes and economic hardship had made the colony unsustainable.

In late 3220, the last settlers were forced to abandon the planet, with many relocating to nearby independent worlds or major polities. Since then, W26 has remained uninhabited, with no current plans for resettlement.

The ruins of former settlements serve as a reminder of the difficulties faced by early colonists.
