Local Government

Z133 is governed locally by the Purple River Kingdom, a representative democracy. Its elected head of government is Prime Minister Laila Korovin, with Commissioner Haruto Venn heading planetary security. The New Republic is represented by Planetary Governor Celeste Marrow, who provides the principal link between Z133 and the Republican government.

Geography

Z133 is a prosperous and extensively developed world, with dense settlement concentrated along its coasts, river valleys and fertile temperate lowlands. The Purple River, one of the planet’s greatest waterways, crosses the broad Rafael Plains before reaching the Meryn Sea through an enormous cultivated delta containing several major cities. Inland lies the Kessler Expanse desert basin, an arid depression of salt flats, gravel wastes and wind-eroded sandstone surrounded by the rugged Verrick Escarpment. Northwards, the forested Aldane Highlands contain numerous lakes and fast-flowing rivers feeding the populated lowlands. Around the equator, the humid Sembara Belt consists of tropical forests, wetlands and heavily cultivated valleys. Eastern Z133 is broken by the mountainous Orlov Peninsula and the island-rich Tallis Sea, while the cooler southern hemisphere contains the rolling Caradon Uplands. Despite extensive urbanisation and transport infrastructure, substantial wilderness survives in the deserts, mountains and equatorial interior.
