Wood's Asteroid

The site of a rare archeological find. Located in the Tuskan system in Quadrant 7, it is alleged that this asteroid was a functioning Forerunner base containing a fully functioning ancient forerunner intelligence. It was inadvertently destroyed by nuclear weapons during the first battle of Tuskan around stardate 3200.352.

A number of researchers believed that evidence on Wood's Asteroid indicated substantial Forerunner installations on the main colony planet. However, the planet has been occupied by colonists for many decades and they had not reported any significant finds.
This changed in 3226 when colonists identified a huge underground site built by the Forerunners
